Θεατρικό μουσικό εργαστήρι για παιδιά και έφηβους

To ΚΕΝΤΡΟ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΥ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΜΟΥ οργανώνει θεατρικό εργαστήρι για παιδιά και έφηβους με ηλικίες από 8 - 18 ετών

Το Παιδικό Θεατρικό Εργαστήρι θα είναι κάτω από την καθοδήγηση και διδασκαλία της Αλίκης Χρυσοχού στο χώρο του Κέντρου Ελληνικού Πολιτισμού (ΚΕΠ).
Η Αλίκη Χρυσοχού έχει μεταπτυχιακό στη μουσική από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Sheffield της Αγγλίας και είναι κάτοχος πτυχίων από το London College of Music and Media, Μουσική Θεωρία ογδόης βαθμίδας από το Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Από 8-18 ετών ήταν μέλος και σολίστας της κυπριακής χορωδία Διάσταση . Έχει πάρει μέρος σε θεατρικές παράγωγες στη Κύπρο, Ελλάδα, Αγγλία σε πολλά Musicals όπως Les Miserables, Cats, The Lion King και Oliver και έχει κάνει εμφανίσεις με διάσημους καλλιτέχνες του πεντάγραμμου όπως Νανά Μούσχουρη, Γιώργο Νταλάρα, Deborah Myers και Johnny Logan.

Τα μαθήματα θα αρχίσουν Οκτώβριο 2010, και τελειώνουν τον Ιούνιο του 2011. Το μάθημα θα είναι μιάμιση ώρα, κάθε Κυριακή 12:00πμ-1:30μμ

Στο τέλος του χρόνου ανάλογα με το δυναμικό και την πρόοδο του εργαστήριου θα εξαρτηθούν και οι παραστάσεις.

Τα παιδιά θα μπορούν να εκφράζονται και στις δυο γλώσσες.
Τα δίδακτρα είναι 80 δολάρια το μήνα.

Musical Theatre Workshop for Children and Teenagers

Theater Workshop for Children and Teens will take place at the Greek Cultural Center under the guidance of Aliki Chrysohou.

Aliki Chrysohou was born in Cyprus, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in music from the University of Sheffield in England (2005). Obtained Pianoforte Certificate in Advanced Performance (passed with Merit) from London College of Music & Media at Thames Valley University (2001), Theory of Music Grade 8 from Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2001) and singing exam Grade 8, Trinity Guildhall of London (passed with Merit) (2007). Was a member of Diastasi Choir (from age of 8-18) with several solo roles. Took part in Theatrical Performances in Cyprus, Greece and England of many well known Musicals including Les Miserables, Cats, The Lion King and Oliver and appeared with many internationally known singers such as Nana Mouskouri, Georgios Dallaras, Deborah Myers and Johnny Logan.
She did various solo performances all over Cyprus accompanied by string quartet and performing a variety of repertoires including those of many famous Greek composers. Was a solo vocalist at Amathus Beach hotel (one of the most prestigious and impressive hotels in Europe). Cyprus repertoire includes Greek, English, Spanish and Italian songs (2005- 2007). She served as a teacher in a Private Music School, giving lessons in both piano playing and singing techniques to a variety of ages (ranging from 6–16).
She also performed as a special Guest solo Singer at Pattichion Theatre in Cyprus, in the production Musical Moments from Moulin Rough and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. (2007)
In May 2008, she participated with Gateway Classical Music Society in New York in the performance of Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Beethoven’s Ninth at First Congregational Church Old Greenwich, CT and at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in New York, NY. She also performed in various Music Halls in Sheffield ,U.K - Athens, Greece and Cyprus during the past 4 years.
She rreceived a Scholarship for studying Musical Theatre in A.M.D.A (American Musical and Dramatic Academy). Currently she is studying at the prestigious New York’s HB studio specializing in Musical Theatre under the guidance of Eric Michael Gillet, Lorraine Serabian, Michael Blake, Helen Gallagher and many more. She is currently studying voice with Armando Mora and Marco Balteri.

Lessons will begin October , 2010 every Sunday at 12:00mm-1:30pm until June 2011.
The Workshop will be an hour and a half once a week and will include: Theatrical activities and exercises, Improvisation, Acting Techniques and the possibility of a theatrical performance.

Participants must be 8 -18 years old and the Fee is 80 dollars a month.

ΜΑΘΗΜΑΤΑ ΠΙΑΝΟΥ by Aliki Chrysohou

Η μάθηση του πιάνου, είναι ένα χαρακτηριστικό γνώρισμα της παιδικής ηλικίας πολλών ανθρώπων. Τα οφέλη που δινουν τα μαθήματα πιάνου για παιδιά πάνε πέραν της μουσικής εκπαίδευσης: Μαθαίνοντας να παίζουν πιάνο, και μελέτωντας γενικότερα την μουσική, ασκούν σε μεγάλα επίπεδα και τα δύο ημισφαιρία του εγκεφάλου. Τα οφέλη αυτής της ικανότητας τα κουβαλάνε και μέσα στην ενηλικίωση.

Η εγγραφή είναι ανοιχτή για όλες τις ηλικίες 5-18 παιδιά και αρχάριους ενήλικες. Τα μαθήματα πιάνου, διδάσκονται ένας προς ένα. Ο στόχος είναι να αναπτηχθεί το εσωτερικό ταλέντο του κάθε παιδιού δημιουργώντας παράλληλα σταθερή τεχνική. Οι κατηγορίες καλύπτουν: keyboard techniques, chord progressions, fingering exercises, harmony, arpeggios.

Η τιμή του κάθε μαθήματος είναι $30 ανά ώρα όπως επίσης $15 για την εγγραφή.

PIANO LESSONS by Aliki Chrysohou

Learning to play the piano is a hallmark of many people's childhood. The benefits of piano lessons for children goes beyond music education: Learning to play the piano, and the study of music in general, engages both hemispheres of the brain. The benefits of this learned skill carry on through adulthood.

Registration is open for all children ages 5-18 and adult beginners. Piano lessons would ideally be given on a one to one basis. The goal is to help grow each child's inner talent by developing and creating a solid technique . The classes cover: keyboard technique, chord progressions, fingering exercises, harmony, arpeggios.

The price for each lessons is $30 per hour. There is also a fee of $15 for enrollment.

ΜΑΘΗΜΑΤΑ ΡΕΜΠΕΤΙΚΟΥ

Τα μαθήματα είναι βασισμένα στην χρυσή εποχή του ρεμπέτικου και στην εξέλιξη του. Ιστορία, σχολές και τεχνική, δρόμοι και αντιπροσωπευτικά τραγούδια. Στα μαθήματα μπορούν να εγγράφονται αρχάριοι και προχωρημένοι που θα διαχωριστούν με βάση την μουσική αντίληψή τους και την πρόοδό τους στην εκμάθηση του οργάνου.

Οι συμμετέχοντες ενδείκνυται να διαθέτουν δικό τους όργανο.

BOUZOUKI LESSONS at the GREEK CULTURAL CENTER

The Greek Cultural Center is hosting Bouzouki Lessons every Saturday starting October 2010 from 12:00-2:00pm.

Classes are based on the Golden Age of Rebetico. They cover technique, melodies and history from the beginning to the end of the era.
Registration is open to beginners as well as advanced players of all ages. Groups will be created according to individual ability, level of playing and necessary musical guidance.

Students are strongly recommended to bring their own instruments to class.
